Oaxaca de Juárez, Oax., 01 de diciembre de 2022.- Con el propósito de garantizar el orden y la legalidad en todo el territorio oaxaqueño, el Capitán de Fragata Iván García Álvarez, quien se desempeñará como Secretario de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana (SSyPC) durante la administración del gobernador Salomón Jara Cruz, encabezó el relevo de mandos de la Policía Estatal de parte de la saliente Secretaria de Seguridad Pública de Oaxaca (SSPO), Dalia Baños Noyola, para que a partir del primer minuto de este jueves, sean las autoridades entrantes las que asuman la responsabilidad de la seguridad en el estado.
Lo anterior, de conformidad con el artículo 69 de la Constitución Política del Estado Libre y Soberano de Oaxaca, que establece que en su carácter de titular de la Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana, las fuerzas de seguridad del Estado, integradas por las policías Estatal, Vial Estatal y Auxiliar, Bancaria, Industrial y Comercial (PABIC), el Heroico Cuerpo de Bomberos y el personal de Custodia Penitenciaria, estarán bajo su mando, a fin de ejercer sus funciones a partir de las 00:00 horas del primero de diciembre del presente año, en favor de las familias oaxaqueñas.
En este sentido, García Álvarez afirmó que asume con responsabilidad su encargo y pondrá todo su empeño, responsabilidad, profesionalismo y amplia experiencia al servicio del Estado de Oaxaca. “Es para mí un honor servir a un estado ampliamente cultural y de una gran tradición en el país”, dijo.
El acto protocolario realizado en el Palacio de Gobierno, estuvo encabezado por las autoridades salientes y por parte de la administración estatal 2022-2028, estuvo el Secretario de Gobierno, Jesús Romero López y la titular del Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Estatal de Seguridad Pública, Karina Barón Ortíz.
Además de funcionarios que representan el Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Estatal de Seguridad Pública (SESESP), el Centro Nacional de Inteligencia, la Fiscalía General del Estado de Oaxaca (FGEO) y la Secretaría Técnica de la mesa de Construcción de Paz.
